Dr. Lillian West

Internal Medicine Physician

Dr. Lillian West is a native of Little Rock, Arkansas. Her interest in becoming a physician peaked early in childhood after her grandfather was hospitalized. Intrigued by the profession, as a young teenager she attended a few summer programs locally that nurtured the desire and it began to grow.

She graduated from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Microbiology.  After receiving the prestigious Eliza Anna Grier Scholarship, she attended Ross University School of Medicine and graduated with High Honors. She completed her Internal Medicine Residency at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center.  After completing residency, she joined Norman Regional Health Systems where she worked as a hospitalist, then went on to practice outpatient General Internal Medicine in Norman, Oklahoma. She is Board Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and she is also a member of the American College of Physicians. She has 10 years of experience as an Internal Medicine physician and is well-equipped to diagnose, treat, and provide compassionate care to adults across the spectrum, from chronic to complex health conditions. She also specializes in the promotion of health and disease prevention.

A few years ago, Dr. West felt compelled to return to her roots in her hometown community and give that same compassionate care that her grandfather received so many years ago.

“I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me you can do nothing”.

John 15:5

After researching the Direct Primary Care model, she felt this was an opportunity to serve her patients in a manner that allowed for more personalized care, thorough evaluations, timely and un-rushed visits, as well as be more available utilizing the newer modalities that exist in medicine including video visits.  Bear Fruit Direct Primary Care was “birthed” and the love of practicing medicine was renewed. Her hope and purpose are to provide many years of exceptional primary care to her patients in Greater Little Rock and surrounding areas.

Dr. West cherishes the time she spends with her husband Johnathan, and their 3 sons Joshua, Jeremiah, and Joel. She also enjoys travel, participating in community events promoting education and literacy, staying up to date on the latest healthcare trends and treatments, and the coveted girl time with her Besties.
